Lowe’s Pharmacy, a trusted household name in the retail industry of The Bahamas, was founded in 1953 as a small Market Street store by three hard-working family men from the Abaco Cays: Mr. William “Billy” Lowe, Mr. William “Billy” Cash, and Mr. Carrol Sands. Seeking new opportunities, they brought their dedication to customer health and community service to Nassau, quickly building a reputation for personalized care.

Through the years, the company expanded to meet the needs of a growing consumer base. In 1963, the founders established Lowe’s Wholesale, which has since developed a broad reach, supplying pharmacies and stores across The Bahamas and even extending into Turks & Caicos.

Today, we proudly operate four retail locations—Harbour Bay, Soldier Road, Palmdale Shopping Centre, and Southwest Plaza—offering a diverse range of consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. Our wholesale division continues to support the majority of pharmacies nationwide and beyond.

Since its inception, Lowe’s Pharmacy has been 100% Bahamian owned and operated, with family as a core value. This strong foundation drives us to strive toward being the leading pharmaceutical and consumer retailer in The Bahamas.
